Kevin McKenzie has been singing since he was in junior choir.
As a teen in Vegreville, Alberta, he discovered CBC and CKUA
radio and developed a broad and eclectic appreciation of all
music. In moving to Nelson, BC, he joined the Heritage Harmony
Barbershop Chorus, singing harmonies for the past 24 years.  A
self-taught, "closet" harmonica player, Kevin decided it was
time to play publicly, in a band, and did so, on his 50th
birthday.  Shortly after that, the late Frank Brooke invited him
to join the White Lightning Blues Band.  He's been with the band
and it's many evolutions for the past dozen years.
Kevin plays harp and sings background and the occasional lead vocals.
